I have several PDF files that are supplied to me that I post on a secured corporate website. One of the files residing is not indexed. I am attempting to index the file using Adobe Acrobat 5.0 by using the help topic. I've tried to save a copy of the file in separate folders, even a diskette and renamed the file to work with but each time I make any changes, it also changes the original file residing on the Internet. I don't want any changes to the original file until I'm confident with indexing. Thank you.
