What API are you using here? IAC or the Core API? Is it a client or server application?

Client Application
If you're using the IAC layer, then you won't be able to do this just with the Acrobat SDK alone, because security isn't exposed in the IAC interface -- only the Core API.

ARTS PDF have developed a product to fill this gap for developers using IAC though -- it's called ARTS IAC Toolkit.

If you're using the Core API to build a plug-in however, the Acrobat SDK does allow you to set security on your PDF documents.

Server Application
As Acrobat isn't licensed to be ran on the server, you'll need to license some 3rd party developer component to set the security on your PDFs. Here are a few to look at:

* activePDF Toolkit
* iSedQuickPDF
* Appligent APCrypt

Hope this helps.
