Topic: Get encoding of a ASText

Hi,

I am using PDFL601

I am trying to check the best encoding for an ASText.
I than get the encoded text from it to use in PDETextAdd.

I get the ASText from Unicode values I have using, ASTextFromUnicode()

I am doing the above (get best encoding - ASHostEncoding)
in order to know how to create the PDEFont from Sysfont (to know what encoding/codepage to specify).

I use ASScriptFromHostEncoding() to determine which codepage to specify when creating PDSysEncoding object in PDEFont creation.

One thing I sa: There is a limited number of codepage defines in PDFL, as follows:
kPDCodePageWinEastEuropeanRoman,
kPDCodePageWinCyrillic,
kPDCodePageWinGreek,
kPDCodePageWinTurkish,
kPDCodePageWinHebrew
kPDCodePageWinArabic,
kPDCodePageWinBaltic

and a lot more ASScript values.

What I do in case I have script value which does not have matching codepage value?

I have a problem with Armenian range of Unicode. When I use ASScriptFromHostEncoding() I get kASKoreanScript value !!
Why is that ? What am I doing wrong ?
Do I need to address this script translation in a different manner?

Do I have that to create the PDSysEncoding from CMap name (in case I dont find matching codepage) and not from Codepage one ?
How do I know which CMap to use for example for Armenian range or other ?

I thank in advance to any help provide.
