It's not a dumb question; a lot of people have this question.
But the answer is a most definite NO. A file is just a file, wherever it is, and can always be copied. This is a tough lesson but everyone up to Disney and Sony have been unable to do anything about it.
There are systems called "DRM" (Digital Rights Management) which mean that a copied file may be less useful because it can only be opened with permission. Think around $5000 as the minimum to get started in this route, and expect a lot of administration.
