"Ghost text" may not be the correct terminology, but I do not know what to call it.
I have a Word 2000 text document. I did not use styles or auto numbering. All text is set to style Normal, Arial 12, and I have embedded all fonts.
When I convert the Word document (using Acrobat 6.01), it adds UU before a word, see example below:
Word document:
1. INTRODUCTION. This is the beginning.
PDF after converted:
1. UUINTRODUCTION. This is the beginning.
Note: the word, INTRODUCTION, is underlined. When I remove the underline and convert, the double U's do not appear. However, I need the underline. There are many similar underlined words in this 12-page document. They convert just fine. It almost appears like
Any suggestions?
