Topic: Print layout shifted from Acrobat 5 to 6.

I have a requirement to print PDF documents with text in exact positions on the printed page. This worked fine with Acrobat Reader 5 but since upgrading to 6 the printed layout seems to have shifted up and to the left.

A comparison of the same pdf document printed from Acrobat 5 and 6 shows the top and left margins are smaller in 6 than in 5.

Page Scaling and Auto Rotate And Center have been turned off in both cases and the printer is the same.

This layout shift between 5 and 6 seems to happen with all pdf documents.

Is there any way to stop this from happening. Ideally I need the document to print out in exactly the same position irrespecive of what version of Acrobat is being used.

Any help would be appreciated.

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
