I have been an avid user of Acrobat 5.0 and it has been very reliable. I recently got a new notebook computer HP nc6000 and it came with Acrobat 6.0 installed. I have an HP ScanJet 3500C scanner. Acrobat 6.0 always reports an error accessing the scanner and halts the process. If I access the scanner through the HP Photo Imaging interface it works fine so I know that the scanner is fine. This is the standard, not professional, version of Acrobat 6.0. I tried this on another computer with the same scanner and had the same results. I also tried it with a ScanJet 4300C with the same results.
Is a problem with the standard version and I have to purchase the professional version?
This is very frustrating as I have to scan servcie documents every day to send out to our depots and have been crippled by this.

Any thoughts???
