Topic: Automation: Distiller + Acrobat leaves room for improvement.

Currently, creating documents for proof review is a multi-step process:

Step 1: Quark creates .ps file in Watched Folder

Step 2: Distiller automatically creates pdf file.

Step 3: Open Acrobat. Hit Advanced | Batch Processing | Batch Sequence | Run Sequence [Open Options, Fit To Window + Page With Thumbnails, Save].

This seems to be way too many steps for a process [Watched Folder + Batch sequence] which is allegedly designed to make my life easier.

Why can't these steps be combined into an automated task at the Distiller level? Maybe a script? Or maybe as part of the distill? Why has this functionality been split to two products?

I ask you.
