I am a beginner working on a PDF form and have a couple of questions regarding field formats. I'm not proficient in javascript but have been able to work my way around very simple issue in Acrobat 5, however, I can't seem to find any answers regarding the following questions:

1. I would like for a field to store alpha text only - no numbers. If the user types in a number, I would like for the field to clear itself. How can this be achieved?

2. I have a field that is for a date, the format should be "MMDDYYYY". I've created the field and tried to format it as a date. However, I don't want the user to have to type in the "/", only to have it remove itself after they tab on to the next field. What I would like to happen is if the user types in a "/", the field will clear itself until they type it correctly.

I think these are probably simple questions but I still have much to learn. Thanks in advance for the help.
