Hi
I work on generating pdf output of our CAD-like aplication.

I cant find how to store (nonASCII)text correctly into pdf file.

I looked how other applications(e.g. MSWord) realizes it and I found some strings in two-byte encoding enclosed in '<' and '>'.
Here is some examples of character codes in that encoding:
0x0049 - 'f'(U+0066)
0x004a - 'g'
0x004b - 'h'
0x00d2 - 'Ú'
(U+00DA : LATIN CAPITAL LETTER U WITH ACUTE)
0x011c - 'r'
(U+0159 : LATIN SMALL LETTER R WITH CARON)

So in pdf file is sequence:

<0049004a004b00d2011c>

and acrobat shows this(font Arial):

fghÚr

Can anybody explain me what is that encoding and where can I find its specification for all chars?

Or am I completle wrong with understandig it?

thanx a lot
(I hope this message will not be sent twice)
