New to this forum - Hi!

Need to scan traditional docs and make pdfs out of them so clients
visitors to site can view and print PDFs of his articles.

I'm using an older mac system (os9) with illustrator 9, photoshop 6
and an old HP scan jet IIcx scanner.

what do you recommend as scanning attributed for PDFs for
online/printing? I was scanning in as 150 dpi grayscale since 72
dpi was not very readable on screen or print and bitmap is just
plain bad.

also, can illustrator or photoshop make multiple paged PDFs or
can that only be done with distiller or another software like quark?

hope somebody can help...thanks

Why eBooks and mobile devices don't (yet) pose an existential threat to the PDF

Continuous upheaval is what makes watching the technology industry so exciting. David vs. Goliath battles are waged every day, with startups often winning against much larger businesses. For years and years, many have predicted the decline of the PDF given its age and perceived disadvantages. Today, with the PDF losing ground in emerging areas like mobile and eBooks, the calls for its ultimate demise are growing louder.
