Perhaps someone can help me straighten out my Adobe Reader problems. A couple of weeks ago my Adobe program started to stall while down loading a pdf file. I would have to reboot the machine as it would slow everything else down to a crawl as well, even with cable internet service.
Eventually, when I would just let it run for two or three hours with no other windows open, a message would come up that said:
"The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect."
Checking that out on the link provided resulted in this message:
"Error Signature
AppName: acrord32.exe
AppVer: 6/0/1.1091
ModName: acrord32.exe
ModVer: 6.0.1.1091
Offset 001ffecc"
Investigating that resulted in:
"C:\Document---\Locals---\temp\WER726.temp.diroo\appcompat.txt"
I have deleted and downloaded Adobe Reader, versions 6.0, 6.0.1 and 6.0.2 several times hoping that would fix the problem.
Do you have any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated.
