There is a document action/event for this named 'Document Will Print',
and can be found under 'Advanced > JavaScript > Set Document Actions'.
However, this is no fool proof way of limiting the number of copies of
the PDF a user can print out. For starters, they can go into this area
and change the JavaScript code, or simply just turn off JavaScript in
Acrobat Preferences (Edit > Preferences > General > JavaScript).
If you really want to ensure they can only print a certain limit, then
you should look to a DRM solution like that provided by FileOpen -
www.fileopen.com.
