Hello,

some days ago i updated from Acrobat 5.0 to Acrobat 6.0 professional.
Width Acrobat 5.0 i build a one page document with about 500 fields
and 200 icons and a lot of jscript.
To simulate the different pages of the document i hide all field which don't
belong to the actual page by moving them to a destination not visible
(x=0; y=1000) on screen and making the "display" property hidden.
The icons stored in the document are used dynamically for the "button" fields.
Everything works fine with Acrobat 5.0 and Acrobat Reader > 5.1.

No the questions:

1. Where can i find the menu entry [windows][fields] (in german [fenster][felder])
in Acrobat 6.0, or how can i edit the field properties even if they are not visible on screen?

2. Why is the execution of the jscript about 10 times slower than with Acrobat/Reader 5.0?

3. To reduce the file size after saving [file][save] i use [file][save as].
In Acrobat 5.0 everything is ok but in Acrobat 6.0 all icons are deleted after [saving as].
Is there an option to keep the icons (all icons don't belong to a "button" by default
they are assigned dynamically)?

thank you and excuse me for my bad english

Why eBooks and mobile devices don't (yet) pose an existential threat to the PDF

Continuous upheaval is what makes watching the technology industry so exciting. David vs. Goliath battles are waged every day, with startups often winning against much larger businesses. For years and years, many have predicted the decline of the PDF given its age and perceived disadvantages. Today, with the PDF losing ground in emerging areas like mobile and eBooks, the calls for its ultimate demise are growing louder.
