Topic: Accessibility checker doesn't flag missing alt text

Hi:

I am very comfortable with Acrobat 5 and almost monthly, I must create accessible PDFs. I have encountered many issues that the Accessibility checker finds and found the solution to all of them.

However, Acrobat 6 Professional has got me completely confused. Despite the fact that I have the Alternative text option checked (as an item to watch for), the full Accessibility check does not check it: I know because I have forgotten to add it at times and then realized later but also realized that the missing alternative text was not flagged.

Any ideas as to what might be the problem?
