Topic: Spool Setting for Adobe PDF Printer Driver

I have created a specialized application which programatically utilizes the Adobe PDF Printer Driver to batch create and E-mail PDFs. Since the application has to wait for the actual file to be created, I've had to put in code to check for the actual existence of the file before proceeding. If I turn off Print Spooling in the Adobe PDF Printer Driver (Windows - under Advanced) I have no need for this code.

My question is:

Is there any REAL advantage to Setting the Adobe PDF Printer Driver to Spool as opposed to Printing directly to the Printer?
