This looks like a great forum; first time post after a lot of review.

I have been trying to parse the file found in this link http://www.sec.gov/divisions/investment/13f/13flist2004q2.pdf for quite some time.

The data that I need to get out is: cusip no, issuer name, issuer description and status. I could probably get by without the 'status' data.

I've had some luck getting the cusip by dumping to Excel and then using the concatenate function but the way the rest of the data is organized makes getting everything difficult.

I've tried exporting to a text file and then importing to Excel a number of different ways but that hasn't worked.

If anyone has any suggestions or tips, I'd be very appreciative. Gotta love the form, it's from the SEC and is not available in another format.
