After reading some posts in this forum, and on's forum, I'm getting the feeling that you can't use the Acrobat SDK on a web server. Is this true? Has anybody been able to successfully make use of the Acrobat SDK in ASP or ASP.NET?

I work for a web development company and we want to be able to give PDF manipulation abilities to one of our web applications. We've already done PDF Form population easily enough with FDF, but we have a few other requirements. We want to be able to provide a JPG/GIF preview of a PDF (because the graphic is to be displayed in a shopping cart) and give the printer the ability to position 6 copies of the contents of 1 PDF on a page. (eg, someone is printing a business card, and would like to position 6 on a page)

Is the Acrobat SDK even the right route for this? I've seen other web applications do what we're trying to develop. Like entering values into a form and having it populate the values in a business card, and provide a JPG preview on screen.

Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated.

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
