Hi all,

i'm using command PDOCGDestroy to remove layer from document. When i apply this on document created by Acrobat, everything works fine and all other existing layers are still in document and works fine. But when i apply this on a pdf created with Adobe Illustrator, it makes problems. Acrobat removes all membership dictionaries in document - means layes does not work at all instead of removing just references to removing OCG.

As i saw how the objects OCMDs (membership dictionaries) are written in page resources it's quite different:

AA document:

(page obj)/Resources/Properties/MC0/OCGs/(OCG cos object)
(page obj)/Resources/Properties/MC0/P/(view policy key)
(page obj)/Resources/Properties/MC0/Type/OCMD

Illustrator document:

(page obj)/Resources/Properties/MC0/(OCG cos object with: Type/OCG)

As i saw in pdf reference, the Illustrator syntax is not acceptable by Acrobat though it works until it's modifyed...

Did anybody encounter this problem? Or maybe some bug?

I've attached sample problematic pdf. This happens on any Illustrator made pdfs i have...

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
