Topic: Acrobat can't open Index file

I created an index of PDF files to enable searching multiple documents within a folder. When I try to open the .pdx file, I receive the following message:

"Acrobat could not open 'index.pdx' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been corrupted."

I created the index in Acrobat Pro 6. I tested it in both that version and in version 5.0 (which our end-users will be using...and the client has no plans to upgrade Acrobat).

I also tried deleting the index and recreating it. No luck.
