Topic: PDF won't display in browser

Hello!

I am using ASP.NET and I'm trying to create a PDF, populate it, then display it in my browser window. I can create the PDF just fine, but it will not display in my browser window. Adobe loads in the background, but nothing is displayed. If I click on Adobe after it loads, it will open up and you can see the PDF I just created. I've tried reinstalling Reader, and my APToolkitNET.dll is dated 7/1/2004. Here is the code I'm using to try and write to the browser. Any help you can provide is appreciated. Thanks so much!

strInputFile = strFilePath + "input.pdf"
intOperationResult = apToolKit.OpenOutputFile("Memory")
If intOperationResult <> 0 Then
apToolKit = Nothing
Response.Write("Error: Cannot Open Output File, check NTFS write permissions AND IIS write permissions")
Response.End()
End If

' Open the existing input file that we have created
intOperationResult = apToolKit.OpenInputFile(strInputFile)
If intOperationResult <> 0 Then
apToolKit = Nothing
Response.Write("Error: Cannot Open Input File, check misspellings, NTFS read permissions AND IIS read permissions")
Response.End()
End If

apToolKit.CloseOutputFile()

Response.Expires = 0
Response.Clear()
Response.ContentType = "application/pdf"
Response.AddHeader("Content-Type", "application/pdf")
Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "inline;filename=bc.pdf")
Response.BinaryWrite(apToolKit.BinaryImage)

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
