Topic: Internal document links not working

More info: I have just created a test document in Word which I then converted to PDF in which I was able to make internal document links work to both a Heading and a Bookmark inserted in Word.

When I looked at the conversion settings in this test doc, it was not set to convert Word headings to bookmarks, so I tried this setting on the main e-book, but no joy.

When, with the newly converted PDF e-book that contained no Acrobat bookmarks, I tried the 'New bookmarks from structure' command and Acrobat gave me a whole load of bookmarks with the text 'Heading 1, Chaphead', 'Heading 2, (Subhead1) and so on.

Does this give anyone any clue as to what might be happening? Should Acrobat be picking up the text from the Heading styles, or would you expect it to behave as above?

Any help would be most appreciated.

All the best

P.S. When I click the link icon in the Advanced Editing toolbar in Acrobat, the links that were linked to Headings or Bookmarks in Word do not show as links in Acrobat. That is, all my web links have the black square round them whereas my internal links do not.

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
