Topic: Specs for creating a Distiller Printer from VB Code

Part of an application Iím writing in VB6 needs to automate the sending of print jobs to the Acrobat Distiller Printer installed on the machine. I have it all working fine as long as the user has not made any changes to the specific Printer Device, the one called ďAcrobat DistillerĒ by default. Iím concerned that if some change is made, like the Device Name, or any of the Device properties, then my application will no longer work properly.
So, assuming Adobe Acrobat is already installed on the machine, what Iíd *really* like to do is this:
All from code 1) create a new temporary Acrobat Distiller printer device with a unique name, 2) set all of its properties the way I need them, 3) send the print jobs to it, 4) delete the temporarily created Printer then 5) end the code. That way, I donít care what the users do to the pre-installed Acrobat Distiller printer device. I think thatís the most elegant way to do this.
Problem is, I cannot find any information anywhere, including on the Adobe site, to tell me what all is needed to create a working temporary Acrobat Distiller printer. Most, if not all of it is done in the Registry I think, but I canít find any specs on it.
Does anyone have any idea what those specs are or where to find them?
