I've just spent two days in hell. For reasons I know not, I began to get Error 1317 when trying to print PDF files with Acrobat 6 (plus latest updates). I uninstalled the software in a misguided hope that this would help -- but reinstalling only produced the same error. I search via Google, and apparently quite a few people have encountered this error. If you EVER run into this problem, the best advice for fixing it is contained here: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306986 Follow all the advice, except the last step of "running Office Setup).
