In Acrobat 6 the ability to perform offline reviewing was seriously broken and resulted in a browser crash when you tried to upload comments back to the server. Has this problem been fixed in Acrobat 7?
The following steps were involed to repro the browser crash with Acrobat 6:
1. Initiate an online commenting session in the browser using WebDAV
2. Press the "Save and Work Offline" button to save the PDF file to a local disk
3. Add a comment in the document using Acrobat 6 (application not in browser)
4. Press the "Go back online" button
5. Without fail an AVToolTipView:Acrobat.exe Application Exception will occur causing the browser to crash and all offline comments will be lost
Without this feature all reviewing must be performed while the user is connected to the Internet. This was never fixed in Acrobat 6 and I really hope it was addressed in Acrobat 7.
Cheers,
Scott
