Topic: pdf2ps error

I used pdf2ps (GHOSTSCRIPT 7.04) for pdf to ps conversion.
The ps generated cannot be interpreted (it's encrypted!??). I have certain data patterns which I need to replace within the PS file.

The usage says pdf2ps [-dASCII85DecodePages=false] [-dLanguageLevel=n] input.pdf output.ps

However, pdf2ps -dASCII85DecodePages=true input.pdf output.ps

gives me the foll. error
Error: /undefinedfilename in (false)
Operand stack:

Execution stack:
%interp_exit .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-
- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- fa
lse 1 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval--
Dictionary stack:
--dict:1007/1123(ro)(G)-- --dict:0/20(G)-- --dict:67/200(L)--
Current allocation mode is local
Last OS error: No such file or directory
AFPL Ghostscript 7.04: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1

Anyu suggestions.
