Thanks George,

I've saved the form you attached to my desktop and opened it with Reader 7, filled in some info and hit the submit button. Nothing appeared to happen - let me know if you got it.

The submit button on my form uses the submit form action and sends HTML to a ASP page at a web address (so there is no hand coded Javascript) in the PDF form.

The reason I think nothing is happening in Reader 7 is because the ASP script is set up to send the form field data to my email address. Using Reader 6 or Acrobat Pro 6, I do receive the data - using Reader 7, I get nothing back.

As far as the new submit data operations in Reader 7 are concerned, if you set up a mailto button to submit the FDF data, when you click on it in Reader 7 you are first given a 'Sending data files by email message' in the usual Adobe speak. Click on close and you get 3 options:

Desktop email
Internet email
Other

If you select Desktop email Reader opens up your email application/ISP and attaches the FDF to a new email message.
If you select other you get the option to save the FDF onto your PC! At last a way of locally saving form data onto the desktop with only Reader. I haven't used the Internet email option yet as I do not have that type of ISP account.

I'm running a Win 2000 Pro system with all service packs and updates.
