I've created a PDF file that will be posted on my company’s web site so that people can request our service. At the bottom of the form is a button set up to submit a FDF file directly to my Operations e-mail account. I've created two files for this project. One with graphics for the web sit and a more streamlined one without graphics for us to open the FDF files. Both files have the same name and contain the same fields. The problem I run into is when someone e-mails me his or her FDF file, I'm getting the following message: The form "Bla Bla.pdf", specified within FDF, was not found. Would you like to browse for it?" I then select "yes" and browse to the second PDF file I created and it opens with no problem. So my question is, how do I get this thing to open automatically, upon double clicking it, without having to browse for it? They both have the same name! (the one on my web site and the one on my operations computer.)
I've been reading some of the forums and realize that this is not the best way to do such work but I'm limited to what I can post on my web site. I've read some info about an /F switch or something in the FDF file that directs the file to the associated PDF file but what generates this line? Can I specify this in the PDF file on my web site so that when I get someone’s FDF file, it will already know where to look on my computer for the associated PDF file? Any help is greatly appreciated.
