Can anybody give any support to solve this problem:

We scanned a lot of paperwork to single tiff files. Doing this, sometimes a ( numbered tiff) had to be corrected. All the files were converted to as much ps files with adobe acrobat. After that, we create txt-files which we put in adobe distiller to tell distiller to convert from more ps-pages to one pdf and to tell distiller where to find the ps files.
It works fine. but sometimes not at all. Within the pdf-file the pages are in the wrong order. It seems as if the corrected files are sorted as the last page, but we want to keep the pages sorted by page number !
Testing in windows 98 I decided to sort the directory on disk (utility LFNsort)
But with our normal system ( NTFS I cannot do that anymore) and besides that, the procedure takes a lot of steps !!
Anyone familiar with this ??
