Topic: Go2PDF and PrimoPDF capturing every print job

Iím currently working with Go2PDF and PrimoPDF on several Windows 2000 Professional SP4 machines and have an issue with some machines not being able to use their default network printers after either program is installed.

On every machine, the same network printer is installed to the same network print device and it is selected as the default printer. On most machines, with either Go2PDF or PrimoPDF installed, when printing a document without going through the printer setup, the default network printer will be used as expected. On some machines, however, the virtual printers installed by either program will always capture the print job. The virtual printers are not selected as default printers on these machines, but they still will capture every print job unless Print Setup is used to select the default printer. This happens with every application, and with both Go2PDF and PrimoPDF.

Has anyone had experience with a similar problem like this? It seems like a Win2000 problem, but I wanted to get input here and see if anyone who is likely much more familiar with these types of virtual printer drivers has had a similar experience before.

Thanks in advance.
