Topic: Text TouchUp Grouping Text

I am having trouble using the Text TouchUp Tool in Acrobat 6 Pro.
I am using Illustrator to add text to an existing PDF, then trying to
edit the text using the text touch up tool in Acrobat. Problem is that
acrobat is grouping separate text fields so that when I try and edit
any of the text it acts like one paragraph rather than a number of
different text fields! - this throws all my formatting all over the
place!
Same thing happens if I add text directly in acrobat, It all looks and
works fine (ie 3 separate text fields) until I save it, and then it
groups the text again!!!

I am using Acrobat 6 Pro on a Mac running OS 10.2

Any ideas???
