I am looking for a way to write a script that will make Acrobat "watch" a folder for PDF files to automatically turn the documents searchable once a new file arrives into the folder. The scenario is this: We have multiple HP Digital Senders. They are configured to send the scanned PDF file to a users computer. From the config utility on the users computer, we can tell the Digital Sender software to store the documents anywhere we want so for this example we will say a network share. We would like to script Acrobat 7.0 that is running on a stand alone machine to watch this network share. Once the software sees a new file placed their to run the "Recognize text using OCR" function inside of Acrobat. I would like to automate this process completely so people have told me that scripting could probably be accomplished to make this happen. Anyone familiar with this? I am looking for some guidance.
Thanks!
