I've been asked (as IT Trainer) why the links in the index of a Word doc aren't active hyperlinks when converted to pdf in PDF Factory. I downloaded PDF Factory pro and tried it myself and didn't get active links (The person asking the question has a purchased copy). Then I tried it in my Adobe at home and didn't get active links either, but I see adobe files with active indexes all the time.

My questions:

Will PDF Factory produce active hyperlinks from a Word file with an index?

What do I have to do to make my Adobe do so (the toolbar in Word disappeared some time ago--do I have to re-install to get it back, and would that solve the problem in Adobe?)

If the person in South America who needs the file converted asap goes out to the Adobe site and uses the 5 free online pdf generator, will he be able to solve his short-term problem while we work on it long-term?

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
