Greetings and thank you to all who read and respond to this post.
I have a PDF form that has some form fields and a button. Under "Actions", I have a "Submit a Form" script attached to the mouse-up event. I am trying to submit it to a URL for processing. I checked the "HTML" box in the "Export Format" section. The PDF is not embedded in an html page, it is running stand-alone in reader on my desktop.
The page that processed the form data is loaded onto a server. It is a PHP page, and it sends an email with the form data, then prints out a confirmatory message and some of the post variables.
In acrobat 6, the process works fine, and the resulting page with the message is displayed in acrobat. However, in Reader 7, the page is called, and the email is sent fine. The problem is that reader pops up an error that says:
Cannot handle content type: text/html
So, I assume that reader is incapable of displaying the html that my result page generates.
Is there a way to have reader spawn a new browser window and have the page displayed there rather than in reader?
Is there a way to simply disable this error message, or not return any to reader (I did try to just process the form data and not output anything, but still the same error)?
Does anyone have any other solutions?
Thank you very much for your time.
