Actually, the method that currently gets/sets AcroForm form fields now
also supports XFA forms. So you use the same method as you used to with
AcroForms -- SetFormFieldData() & GetFormFieldData() - (this is from
activePDF's mouth BTW). So check it out...

You could still use Toolkit for this, just distribute it. You could try
and get a good deal with activePDF on redistributable licenses.

Yeah, it can import/export the XML data. You can also use the
xfa.host.exportData() and xfa.host.importData() if you want to script
it.
