After scanning files to an FTP server Folder on a Windows 2000 Small Business Server (svc Pk4) the good PDF files become unreadable after a day or 2. The Valid Adobe Icon changes to a Windows flag Icon on the file and becomes unreadable. ie File scanned in as 014abc.PDF with Adobe icon. Next day file is 014abc.pdf with Windows flag icon and I get can't open error in Abode 6.0. When I restore from a backup tape I wind up with 2 files in the folder with the same name but different icons. One valid Adobe Icon file which opens OK and one with the Windows flag con NG. I know this can't happen but Go figure. No viruses on server. If I were to e-mail you the 2 files to review they both appear as good Adobe Icon attachments, which open properly. All I can think is a major file problem with my server.
Any insight would be appreciated.
