Phil (and anyone else following this thread),

I was searching the Internet today and tripped over a reference to this old thread on the PlanetPDF forum. I guess I had anticipated that people would just email me in reply. I think that in 2003 I was probably visiting that forum in order to get answers to particular technical hurdles--after everything started working out for me I no longer had the need to keep returning, as you might imagine...
