Topic: Spooling issues to lexmark printer

Hi everybody, I am trying to create some basic pdf files through Acrobat6 & distiller (black and white single page documents with line drawings created in Freehand) which have both a small file size as well as creating a small spool size when printing.

At the moment my 30kb files are generating spool sizes of up to 1.5mb, when printing to a local lexmark printer. This is not good!

Creating the PDF directly from Freehand yields a significantly larger file size, and slightly smaller spool size (800kb).

Could anybody advise me of any known remedies to this problem? At this stage I am not sure if it is my printer settings or my joboptions in distiller which need to be modified. Thanks!

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
