You're gonna love this one ... I have several disks from the 80s which contain Postscript files that had to be printed in batches on the only printer I had access to at the time. In those days, you'd print to Postscript at home and take the disk to the computer lab where you just sent them straight to the $9,000 Apple LaserWriter. I want to archive these disks, but I have no idea how to view or print these documents. This is a standard PostScript file (albeit from 1985), I can open it as a text file and it's clearly PostScript ("%!PS-Adobe-1.0" in the header), but Acrobat won't open it. None of my printer drivers will print it as PostScript either. Is it possible that Adobe left behind older Postscript language and can't read it with a modern program? If so, is there a way to convert it (like you would convert old Microsoft Word documents)? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
