Topic: Dialog boxes not appearing properly

I have an issue with creating dialog boxes in my environment.
I am using Acrobat 6.0, developing using Adobe Acrobat SDK 7.0 (and tried on 6.0 as well), on Windows using Visual Studio .NET 2003.

I start with a sample plugin, such as "TextExtraction". Building as-is works, and the plugin behaves properly - dialog windows are OK.
I then do some small modification to the resource in VS (like moving a button a tiny bit, or resizing the window a bit) and rebuild. Now I get no window at all... I noticed that for some reason the IDE has dialog Style as Popup, so I changed it to Child, and now I get a window's title bar with garbage, and this bar stretches WAY beyond my screen limits. Dragging the other end with the close [x] button is possible, and hitting Enter also ends the dialog session.

I tried saving ALL project/dialog properties to be exactly as they appear in TextExtraction.vcproj to no avail... Close I can get is just the title bar... Any ideas? (Let this be something silly and simple that I'm missing, please).

Actually, same issues with non-modal windows. Child windows show up as a very long bar, overlapped windows show up as a bar (in the right place and with the right horizontal length, but without a body), and popup-styled windows do not show up at all (whether I call Modal() or Create()). They show up fine when I build a sample project as-is, but have problems if I do the smallest tweak to the dialog resource (like resizing the window slightly or moving a button slightly). These dialog box resources work fine inside a stand-alone application, but fail when called from inside Acrobat plugin.

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
