Topic: Start Acrord32 with PHP

I need to make a PCL file from an acrobat source, after that i want to change some PCL codes ie amount of pages and the tray where it will be printed from.

I founded that only acrobat 4.0 is stable enough to work with the commandline features such as:
"c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 4.0\reader\AcroRd32.exe" /t "pdf-file" "printername" "printerdriver" "text-file"
Other versions of acrobat will not terminate the acrord32.

This works within a cmd-box at the server, but when i want to start it with for example exec() or system() it wil start acrord32 but stays as a proces, end doesn't do anything.

The printdriver is the "HP Laserjet 4" and when i don't use the quotes it will not start the process, why does it do start the proces and not giving any output, and the commandline works on the server,

The server is an Windows 2000 server with IIS. PHP version 4.1.2
