Topic: distributed PDF revision with Acrobat 7 Pro

in my company we implemented a lotus domino based document manag. system
to manage the process of PDF creation, revision and finalisation. In our
workflow the initially created document is downloaded by reviewers. The
make their corrections and comments not directly inside the PDF but
inside an extra Excel sheet. Those changes will be collected and
manually merged for finalisation.

We plan to automize this process by using Acrobat 6/7 Pro browser-based
revision feature. From what I read this makes it possible (in
conjunction with WebvDav) to deliver PDF to client that only have the
Reader, let them submit changes and comments to (A SERVER?). All changes
will be stored in a seperate file (?FDF?) and can be viewed an
selectivly merged into the final document.

Is this true? I still have the impression that some kind of real server
is missing, which could handle this parallel access to PDF on a server.

Can anybody clear my thoughts and give answers?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
