Would like to start off by thanking you all for all the help and great info I have gotten from this site.
I have not been able to attach my project PDF for reference. These forms will be used to document the data cables in equipment rooms. I would like to have the Field fillColor turn Blue if a user inserts a duplicate cable number in any “POS”
( position ) field on any of the Patch Panel forms “PP.” pages. That would be any and all “POS” fields with duplicate cable numbers. These numbers my be alphanumeric or just numeric, SB001, 1021, 4123, B012, ect… I don’t know if this matters but I mention it anyway.
There are 15 “PP” Patch Panel forms with the ability to Spawn more.
I would also need the same for the Switch Forms “SW” and “SW80” together not separated. So if 1012 was entered on a “SW” form and 1012 was entered on a “SW80”, both would turn blue. Also can I do this on Blur? This would help the Tech find the duplicate cables numbers or fat finger problems as they are documenting the site.
There are 10 “SW” Data Switch forms with the ability to Spawn more.
There are 10 “SW80” Data Switch forms with the ability to Spawn more.
All three of these forms are in the same PDF.
Thanks in advance.
I have a simple example:
var f = this.getField("P1.PP.POS4");
var b = this.getField("P1.PP.POS3");
if (f.value == b.value).
f.fillColor = color.blue;
f.fillColor = color.white;
But how do I reference all POSitions on all PP pages?
