Topic: VB/Javascript Question

I am new to PDF and Javascript programming. This is what I need to do:

I need to run an external Javascript (.js) file from somewhere on my PC or a VB application to open up a Fillable PDF. I want to prefill some of the fields on the PDF and then save the PDF with a new name. The data to fill the PDF fields can come from either a text file or a database. I also need to do this in a
loop so that I can create several PDF's with different datasets.

I initially tried using VB to do that. The code examples I found on the Acrobat site "Programming Acrobat JavaScript Using Visual Basic" refers to using .NET (Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Type Library) but the code example is for VB not .NET. I don't see Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Type Library when I try to add a reference to it in VB 6.0. Can you please point me in the right direction as to how I can do the above. I would rather use VB 6.0, if this is doable in that.

If you have a code example that would be a great help.

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
