I'm running a G5 with Mac OS X 10.3.9, using Acrobat 6 Professional.

I recently did manual edits to a large number of 2-page PDFs prior to concatenating them into an 88-page booklet. I had to change page numbers on several of the constitutive PDFs. When I did so, I discovered that changing a page number from 84 to 86 in one PDF resulted in the conversion of 84 to 86 in another PDF in the booklet.

I also noticed that a coworker & I were able to open the file simultaneously, which I thought was impossible.

Does anyone have any idea what caused this?
