We're merging data from an xfdf with a pdf template using acrobat 6 standard edition plug-in to IE6.
The pdf template has been developed using acrobat 6 Pro.
The problem is that if the xfdf contains, say, a £ (pound sign) or a € (euro symbol) then a popup window with the error message of the form appears:
Xml parsing error: not well-formed (invalid token) (error code 4), line 66, column 1 of file c:\Form01.xfdf
Line 66, column 1 is the £ (pound sign). In fact I believe this happens for any character with a code over 128.
See attached xfdf sample
If I change the encoding to "iso-8859-1" then the £ (pound sign) works but the euro symbol and many other characters do not.
Anybody any ideas?
