Topic: Text overlap in PDF files

Hello

I have just scanned a document, saved it in rtf format, edited it, and then converted it to a PDF file.

When I open the document and scroll through it, it appears to be fine at first, but it seems as though adjusting it in any way triggers characters to overlap on certain pages. If I correct these overlaps, it does not prevent the problem recurring later, or elsewhere. The problem seems to shift through the document and does not appear to be page-specific, otherwise I would just replace the problem pages.

I am using Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard on Windows XP.

I have created a number of PDF files before by converting from rtf, but haven't encountered this problem.

Has anyone got an idea about what might have caused this and any solution other than recreating the entire document from scratch?
