In January, I assembled a pdf file that was 92mb in size. I needed to put it on the web at that time, so people could either download or view it.
Somehow, I managed to make the file size 2.43mb (a much manageable size for viewing and downloading).
I had to make a change to the pdf file this week, and much to my chagrin a few things occured:
a. I could NOT make changes to the pdf file that was on the remote server. When I say I could not make changes, I mean that I was able to make the change, but Acrobat would not let me save it. Some error message occurred. So that option was out.
b. When I saved the new file (from the original pdf files that I had assembled, it came out to 92mb once again, and when I used the reduce file size option, it only brought it to 55mb.
It is my 50th birthday, and I'm wondering what I did to make the first file get decreased from 92mb to 2.43mb. The reason I say it is my 50th birthday today, is because along with turning 50, I suppose that the swiss cheese memory effect is upon me now a little more than before.
Can anyone help ? I currently have the file at 55mb, but would greatly like to reduce the file size to around 2.50mb or so. I tried the reduce file size option, and the pdf optimizer, to no avail. I just don't know what I did back in January to make this thing so small, and now, cannot remember :(
