Topic: Identifying PDF with Drawing Error

We have an imaging system with about a million PDF files stored on a jukebox. This has occurred over a number of years, and with a number of image-creation systems.

Recently, we discovered 2 PDF documents that when attempting to open with Reader get the message 'A drawing error occurred.'

What I need to do is programatically identify all of such documents in our entire system, since we are getting ready to destroy all of the related paper files.

I've downloaded every analyze and repair PDF utility I can find, and none of them recognize any problem with the defective files. It seems the only program that fails is Reader.

I've been working on a VB app attempting to identify when a file is corrupt, but am having no success.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to approach this identication. We sure don't want to have to open up that many files in Reader.
