Topic: ADBC: need nextRow assistance

after capturing user data from html webforms and storing them in mssql (using, i'd now like to display a fairly complex government acrobat form on our web site with all its readonly formfields pre-filled with the user's personal data.

i'm using acrobat pro 7.0 and adbc but i can't seem to get the nextRow method to grab records beyond the first (for some of the form's sub-forms).

here's my snippet with the resulting exception message.

[start snippet to access sequential records]
var cID = new String("2")
var con = ADBC.newConnection("FormDsn");
var stmt = con.newStatement();
var row

stmt.execute( 'Select * from Issues Where ID = ' + cID);

row = stmt.getRow();
console.println(row.PeriodStr.value); // println used here only for debugging purposes. the production code substitutes getFields rather than printlns

} while (row.PeriodStr.value != null);
[end snippet...]

the doLoop dutifully grabs and prints the first row.PeriodStr.value but when it goes after the next record i get the following exception:

[start exception]
Exception in line 10 of function top_level, script AcroForm:btnImportO5:Annot1:MouseUp:Action1
[end exception]

since i can't get the code to work it looks like i need your help to put me back on track. can you please help me out here?

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
